Norman Krastel und sein Spider (gesendet von seinem Sohn Rod Krastel) hier die Geschichte dazu: I hope someone there can translate this from English. Im sorry, but I dont know German. My father, Norman Krastel, was the first person in the world to race a rotary powered car in a sanctioned event. He raced a 1965 NSU Spyder at National Trails Raceway in Hebron, Ohio, USA. It was witnessed by NSU factory technicians and filmed by them, too. The film is in the NSU Neckarsulm Museum. It was a quarter mile drag race and Dad beat the national champ in that his class. I thought you might be interrested in this piece of trivia. I think it is important, but somehow has been overlooked by the world. I hope you find it interresting.
